1954 | The Nikko Metal Industry Co., Ltd., founded in Nishiyodogawa-ku, Osaka. Capital: 2 million Commencement of automotive horns and bicycle locks manufacturing. |

1958 | Succeeded in producing the first compact turbine-type motorcycle horn Established a solid foundation in the compact horns area. Capital increased to 6.5 million yen. |
1959 | Capital increased to 9 million yen. Developed an ultra-compact horn for motorcycles, and started production. |
1960 | Started exporting marine vessel horns. |
1963 | Started production and sales of bicycle buzzers and compact alarm emitters |
1964 | Received approval to display Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) in the bicycle locks sector. Received the export contribution |
1965 | Developed Japan’s first water proof trumpet horn, for which mass production of P Series on an as-required basis was launched. |
1966 | Mass production of combination type chain locks launched |

1985 | Technological assistance partnership with Nikko Auto Private Limited in India. |

1987 | Established the THAI NIKKO METAL INDUSTRY CO.,LTD Started production of automotive and marine horns |
1992 | Transferred plant to Taki-gun (now: Tambasasayama City) Hyogo Prefecture Name changed to Nikko Corporation |
1994 | Started supplying electric power-assisted bicycle locks |
1997 | Started the 2nd technological assistance partnership with India Nikko PVT, Ltd. Developed and started production of ultra-small flat-type automotive horns. Prize winner at the Japan Bicycle Promotion Institute sponsored first ever new bicycle product competition (design competition). |
1998 | E.V. AUTO established in Malaysia; car horn production started. |
2001 | Opened an overseas liaison office in Shanghai, China. |
2002 | Capital increased to 32.5 million. |
